We’re back up

After some heavy delays, the phpPennyAuction website is now fully back up and ready. We will be installing an SSL Certificate shortly so the Support Center may go down or be unreachable whilst that is being done. Since it’s taken a while, I wanted to to share some of the details about the server we are now using:

The latency times have dropped considerably. If you have any problems or experience any timeouts please do let us know on info [@] phppennyauction.com.
New Wiki for members!

Great news! Our new Wiki is up and running and almost out of BETA. We are ironing out the kinks and will launch it over the weekend to all remaining members.
If you’re an existing member, you’ll be able to access the Wiki by clicking the link in the Support Center by clicking the link at the top of any page. If you don’t see it yet, it means you’re not part of the BETA testing – but keep checking as we launch this weekend in full.
Downtime (resolved)

The www.phppennyauction.com domain went down today from about 6pm -11pm GMT and was inaccessible to most. The outage was caused by changing to a secure hosting solution. We would like to apologize to all those affected during this unavoidable downtime, normal service now resumes.
If any further downtime is needed to complete the hosting change, we will provide at least 24 hours notice here and in the Members’ News section.
Old URL will stop working soon.

Just a quick notice to all current members and those thinking of joining us, you will need to update any bookmarks made prior to 15th October 2009, as our old URL will stop working. From now on, we will be reachable only through www.phppennyauction.com.
Most of you will NOT need to worry about this and will not notice any difference. We are reigning in our branding and simplifying everything as some of you were getting confused, so we hope you will appreciate our efforts to streamline our company image. Let us know in the comments how you feel about this!
We’ve changed our name!

We’ve just relaunched our brand new site, www.phppennyauction.com “PHP Penny Auction”. A number of customers had expressed confusion regarding our previous name and in our ongoing efforts to provide a truly exceptional service we decided that PHPPennyAuction was the most appropriate and fitting title. Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
Reminder: Our T&Cs, operating terms, Support hours etc are all identical. We have changed in name – but not anywhere else! 
So you’ll continue to enjoy the same level of service. In fact, you probably won’t even notice any change.
