New Wiki for members!

Great news! Our new Wiki is up and running and almost out of BETA. We are ironing out the kinks and will launch it over the weekend to all remaining members.

If you’re an existing member, you’ll be able to access the Wiki by clicking the link in the Support Center by clicking the link at the top of any page. If you don’t see it yet, it means you’re not part of the BETA testing – but keep checking as we launch this weekend in full.

Affiliate Center Updated (Now two tier!)

We’ve just added a few new banners, images and even a page-peel to the Affiliate Center. In case you’re unaware, we pay anything up to 30% (and a minimum of 20%!) for all orders that you send us. That’s up to $374.70 per sale that you refer our way. As a thank-you, we’ll even place you onto the top tier (30% per sale) when you hit 20 referrals per year.

And don’t forget, for every affiliate you refer to us (ie. a user who goes on to sign up for our affiliate system) we’ll also pay YOU 5% for all sales that THEY make as well!

Downtime (resolved)

The www.phppennyauction.com domain went down today from about 6pm -11pm GMT and was inaccessible to most. The outage was caused by changing to a secure hosting solution. We would like to apologize to all those affected during this unavoidable downtime, normal service now resumes.

If any further downtime is needed to complete the hosting change, we will provide at least 24 hours notice here and in the Members’ News section.

Merry Christmas – Our Opening Hours

It’s almost that time of the year again – Christmas!

While we will have staff working over the Christmas break, our opening hours will change from tomorrow as follows.

24 December 2009 – closed – emergency out of hours support only
25 December 2009 – closed – emergency out of hours support only
26 December 2009 – closed – emergency out of hours support only
27 December 2009 – closed – emergency out of hours support only
28 December 2009 – closed – emergency out of hours support only
29 December 2009 – normal hours
30 December 2009 – normal hours
31 December 2009 – normal hours
1 January 2010 – closed – emergency out of hours support only
2 January 2010 – closed – emergency out of hours support only
3 January 2010 – closed – emergency out of hours support only
4 January 2010 – normal hours resume

Note that all orders will be fulfilled if they are placed as normal regardless of when they are placed, however please allow longer for responses than usual.

Updated Packages & Prices!

We wanted to let all customers and future customers know that, as of today, we have updated our packages and have discontinued the Premium package. It has now been relaunched under the new name ‘Professional’ – we wanted to add more to the list of features and felt that renaming it was the easiest way to highlight the differences of the previously-named Premium package and the newly launched Professional package.

We will continue selling the Standard package at the same retail price ($749) and hope you will like the changes.

Old URL now defunct

Our transition has been completed! We are now using the name PHPPennyAuction / PHP Penny Auction (sometimes abbreviated to PHPPA if that’s your thing!) and all our older URLs will no longer work. Please make sure to update your bookmarks. If you are a current member and have become lost, please do contact us on info@phppennyauction.com for guidance.

Just a quick notice to all current members and those thinking of joining us, you will need to update any bookmarks made prior to 15th October 2009, as our old URL will stop working. From now on, we will be reachable only through www.phppennyauction.com.

Most of you will NOT need to worry about this and will not notice any difference. We are reigning in our branding and simplifying everything as some of you were getting confused, so we hope you will appreciate our efforts to streamline our company image. Let us know in the comments how you feel about this!

We’ve changed our name!

We’ve just relaunched our brand new site, www.phppennyauction.com “PHP Penny Auction”. A number of customers had expressed confusion regarding our previous name and in our ongoing efforts to provide a truly exceptional service we decided that PHPPennyAuction was the most appropriate and fitting title. Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

Reminder: Our T&Cs, operating terms, Support hours etc are all identical. We have changed in name – but not anywhere else! So you’ll continue to enjoy the same level of service. In fact, you probably won’t even notice any change.

Multi-language Support Center

We have great pleasure in announcing that we’ve been busy converting the Support Center (our members-only area) to a whopping TEN new languages. In line with our multinational customer base, you can now select whichever language you’d like to use. Includes Russian, French, Dutch, Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese, Polish and more!

All members get access to these languages. See the instructions in the Members’ Area Announcements to switch between your language and English (default).
